Lymphatic drainage encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. It is a gentle form of massage to relive clients suffering with pain or swelling of lymph around surgical sites or areas where lymph has built up. This gentle massage form begins with light pressure around the abdomen and then movements to move lymph in the appropriate direction. This massage style is beneficial for clients who have had lymph nodes removed, fibromyalgia, swelling, digestive disorders, insomnia, arthritis and migraines. Due to slow nature of massage 90 minutes is recommended.
Best for: Those recovering from joint replacement surgery, transplant surgeries, post cancer treatment, around surgical scars, a good choice before and after surgery and for chronic swelling near joints.
